Welcome to my site Scion Robotics. My name is Vesa Pykala. This is my personal website. My first name means Scion in English. It is also means a sprout. a gardening term.
On this site I will present especially my future ideas and processes. I will tell mainly a story of Eddie robot rover.
My background: I have been in the computer industry for forty years. I am an automation engineer and I have worked in geophysics and marine business as a Design and Systems Engineer. After that I was working as an Information Technology Manager and I designed also databases and websites. Now I will back to my roots of electronics engineering . In my college years I took a industrial robots course in late 70’s. I am now anxious to use my knowledge and passion in robotics technology. I got my wake-up my college years.
I am worked with programming languages such as assembly languages, Pascal, Visual Basic, C# and currently Python. I designed magnetometers and other geophysical instruments. I designed marine navigation systems. I believe my background fits totally in robotics. My special interest is indoor navigation and positioning systems using electromagnetics.
